As a parent consultant I serve children with special health care needs.  I teach parents the importance of advocacy and how to advocate for their child.  I am also mother to 3 children, all with juvenile arthritis.  I am hearing impaired myself, so as the disabled Mom to wonderful children with special health care needs, I am well versed in the needs of families with children that have special-needs.  I am pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Social Work, and then will go on to get my Master's in Rehabilitation counseling.
